Drone Photography and Aerial Video
Is drone photography legal?
Yes, when performed by an FAA Part 107 certified pilot. SkyPoint Advisory holds full FAA Part 107 certification and handles all airspace authorizations before every single shoot. You never need to worry about compliance — we manage it completely.
How much does drone photography cost?
Pricing depends on project scope, location, deliverables, and intended use. Rather than publish rates that may not fit your specific situation, we offer a free 30-minute consultation to understand your project and provide a custom quote with no obligation. Most clients find our pricing competitive with local operators while receiving significantly higher production quality.
How long does a typical shoot take?
It varies by project type. A residential real estate shoot typically takes 1 to 2 hours on-site. A full 18-hole golf course package is usually a full day. Commercial brand shoots and multi-location projects are scoped individually during consultation. We always provide a clear time estimate before your booking is confirmed.
What happens if the weather is bad on my shoot day?
We monitor weather closely in the days leading up to every shoot. Rain, heavy wind above 25 mph, fog, and poor visibility all affect flight safety and image quality. If conditions are not suitable, we reschedule at no charge and typically provide at least 24 hours advance notice. We never fly in unsafe conditions.
How quickly will I receive my photos and videos?
Standard delivery is within 48 hours of your shoot for most projects. Rush delivery is available on request. All files are delivered via secure download link, fully edited, color graded, and organized — ready to upload directly to your website, MLS, or social channels.
What resolution are the photos and videos?
All photography is delivered in 4K ultra high definition. Video is delivered in 4K with standard social media and web-optimized export formats included. We shoot in RAW format and process to final edited JPEGs and video files. Print-quality resolution files are included in every package.
Are there restrictions on where drones can fly?
Yes. The FAA designates controlled airspace around airports, military installations, and certain populated areas where special authorization is required. SkyPoint handles all airspace checks and authorization requests as part of every engagement. In some cases, shoots may need to be scheduled around airspace availability windows, which we factor into planning upfront.
Do I own the photos and videos after delivery?
Yes. All deliverables come with full usage rights for your website, social media, print marketing, advertising, and presentations. There are no ongoing licensing fees. For commercial broadcast or stock licensing, please mention this during consultation as different terms may apply.
Golf Course Packages
How do you minimize disruption to play during a golf course shoot?
We work closely with your golf operations team to plan the shoot around your tee sheet. Most full-course shoots are scheduled for early morning before first tee time, which delivers the best lighting and eliminates any disruption entirely. We can also shoot hole-by-hole during gaps in play if early morning is not an option.
What is the best time of year for golf course aerial photography?
Late spring and early fall generally produce the most visually compelling results — lush fairways, vibrant rough, and soft golden-hour light. That said, every season tells a different story. We work with you to identify your course's most visually distinctive window and schedule accordingly. Many clubs benefit from seasonal shoots that build a year-round content library.
Can hole-by-hole aerials be used on scorecards?
Absolutely, and this is one of the highest-value uses of golf course aerial photography. Our hole-by-hole packages are shot specifically with scorecard, yardage book, and course guide use in mind — framed to show the full hole layout from tee to green at an angle that gives players useful overhead perspective.
Do you cover tournament and event days?
Yes. Tournament and event aerial coverage is included in our Course Authority package and can be added to any package as an upgrade. Event day aerials capture energy, crowd scale, and sponsor visibility in ways that dramatically elevate post-event marketing and press coverage.
What deliverables are included in a golf package?
Depending on the package, deliverables include: high-resolution 4K stills of each hole from multiple angles, a 2 to 3 minute cinematic flyover video, social media cut-downs (30 and 60 second versions), website-optimized hero video, and a complete content library organized by hole. All files are fully edited, color graded, and licensed for unlimited use. See our full package details here.
Real Estate Drone Photography
Does aerial photography really help sell properties faster?
The data is consistent and compelling. Properties listed with professional aerial photography sell 68% faster than comparable listings without it. They also generate significantly more online inquiries and, in premium markets, contribute to stronger final sale prices. In competitive markets, aerial photography has moved from differentiator to baseline expectation.
What types of properties benefit most from drone photography?
While almost any property benefits, the highest ROI typically comes from: large lots or acreage where scale cannot be conveyed from ground level, waterfront and view properties where location context is a selling feature, luxury homes where premium marketing is expected, new construction and development projects, and commercial properties where location relative to amenities and infrastructure matters.
Can you shoot interior video as well as aerial?
SkyPoint Advisory specializes in aerial and outdoor content. For combined aerial and interior packages, we can recommend trusted interior photography partners in each of our markets who we regularly collaborate with to deliver a seamless full-property content package.
Do you offer discounts for agents with multiple listings?
Yes. We offer preferred pricing for agents and brokerages with consistent volume. If you have multiple active listings or anticipate regular shoots throughout the year, contact us to discuss a custom arrangement. Many of our real estate clients work with us on a preferred-vendor basis with dedicated scheduling priority.
Local Business Growth and SEO
Do I need local SEO if I already have a website?
Having a website and having a website that ranks locally are two very different things. Most small business websites are essentially invisible to customers searching Google for services in their area — they exist, but they don't get found. Local SEO is what turns a website from a digital brochure into an active lead generation tool.
How long does it take to see results from local SEO?
Most clients begin seeing measurable improvements in rankings and traffic within 60 to 90 days. Significant results — meaningful increases in leads and inquiries — typically appear within 4 to 6 months. Local SEO is a compounding strategy: results build on each other over time, meaning the longer you invest, the stronger your position becomes.
What is included in the free growth audit?
Our free 30-minute growth audit covers: your current website performance and mobile experience, which local keywords you are and are not ranking for, how your Google Business Profile is performing, a comparison against your top 3 local competitors, and a prioritized action plan you can use whether you work with us or not. There is no pitch and no obligation — just clarity on your current situation and what it would take to improve it.
Do I need to understand technology to work with you?
Not at all. Our Local Business Growth program is designed specifically for business owners who are not tech-savvy. We build everything, manage everything, and report on everything in plain language. You focus on running your business. We handle the digital engine that brings customers to your door.
What industries do you work with for local growth?
We work across a wide range of local service businesses including home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping), health and wellness (dental, chiropractic, fitness, salons), professional services (legal, accounting, consulting), retail and restaurants, and any other business that depends on local customers finding them online. Strategy and Advisory
What is a strategic audience engagement consultation?
A free 45-minute session where Scott Linzer personally reviews your current marketing channels, audience reach, and content strategy. You leave with a clear picture of your highest-leverage opportunities and a frank assessment of what is and is not working — whether you engage SkyPoint for ongoing advisory work or not.
How is SkyPoint's strategy work different from hiring a marketing agency?
Traditional agencies execute tactics. SkyPoint Advisory operates as a strategic advisor — we help you figure out the right channels, platforms, and approaches before spending money executing on them. We are particularly focused on innovative, early-mover opportunities that most agencies are not yet offering their clients. Think of it as the strategy layer above the execution layer.
Do you work with businesses outside the drone and golf industries?
Yes. SkyPoint Advisory's strategy and local growth services are industry-agnostic. Scott's background spans digital advertising, AdTech, gaming, hospitality, and professional services across 20+ years. If your business connects with audiences online, we can help you do it more effectively.
